Concerts

If the opportunity arises, the parish community welcomes choirs or musicians who wish to take part to the liturgical celebrations enriching them with their repertoires. When the performance of a sacred music concert is proposed, hospitality is offered at the following conditions: the program must be presented and authorized by the competent Curia office, entrance must be free, the concert organizers must take on †civil liability and cover all expenses. - Friday, December 21th, 20:30 p. m.
At San Salvador Parish Church, the Corale polifonica veneziana "San Francesco della Vigna" under the direction of Marco Paladin and accompained by organ by Gianandrea Pauletta, performs the Christmas Concert including works by Gounod, Franck, Malatesta, Ortolani, Pierpont and traditional songs.
- Friday, October 19th, 20:30 p. m.
At San Salvador Parish Church, the Junges Kammerorchester under the direction of Britta von der Lippe and with the presence of soloist violin Azadeh Maghsoodi performs a program of classical music including works by Antonio Vivaldi, Arcangelo Corelli, Georg P. Telemann, Jekabs Medins e Johann S. Bach. The group comes from the Lübeck (Germany). This event is sponsored by the Italian/German Cultural Association of Venice.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Camera Choir Nacka, under the direction of Per Rönnblom, performs a sacred music program including works by Monteverdi, Sweelinck, Schütz, Brahms e other authors. The group comes from Switzerland. The concert has been supported by the Friends of Sacred Music International Association.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Russia Cristiana Choir under the direction of Claudio Cristoni, performs a recital of traditional russian songs and coinciding screening of icon images.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Conservatoire Choir from Oyonnax (France) performs a rich programs of sacred music from medieval age to romantic period, under the direction of Michel Hardouin and accompained by an ensemble of various instruments.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Cappella Musicale of the Basilica S. Maria Maggiore at Bergamo Alta, brightened the Holy Mass with its songs under the direction of don Valentino Donella and accompained by Roberto Mucci at the organ.
- Wednesday, August 22th, 21:00 p.m.
At San Salvador Parish Church, the Petit Chanteurs de Saint-Charles performs a program including works by Bouzignac, Mendhelsson, Brosig, Liszt e De Cruzelaegui. The Choir comes from France (Versailles) and is directed by Jean-François Bétis.

Tuesday, July 10, 9:00 p.m
At San Salvador Parish Church, the St Joseph's Convent School Chamber Choir, under the direction of Mrs Mandy Kesel, performs a program from his repertoire including works from traditional and modern liturgical and classical composers to jazz and contemporary popular music. The Choir sings regularly at liturgical events as well as giving local concerts. Recent highlight performances have included performing sacred music at Sacre Coeur in Paris in 2005 and singing in Mass at St Peter's in Rome in 2006.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Warsaw Boys’ Choir performs his repertoire composed of the pieces coming from almost all periods – from Middle Ages Gregorian chant to the compositions written in present times. The Choir was created in 1990 at the suggestion of prof. Andrzej ChorosiÅ„ski, who was at that time the Rector of Warsaw’s Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music. Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz is the founder, artistic manager, and the conductor of the Choir.

At San Salvador Parish Church, accompanied by piano by Mrs Mary Alicia Groch and under the direction of Mrs Isabel Momenee, the St. John Neumann Choir sings branos from Schubert and Ciajkovsky plus pieces from the america traditional music.
- Thursday, June 14th, 21:00 p.m.
At San Salvador Parish Church, coming from New Jersey (USA) the Delbarton Schola Cantorum performs an unusual program from the tradition of american spirituals, under the direction of Mr. David Blazer, and accompanied by an ensemble of brass directed by Mr. Gregory Devine.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Amurianum Choir of Venice, under the direction of Franco Salvadori, performs a interesting program of sacred music with a repertoire from the Renaissance polyfony to the contemporary music.
- Wednesday, May 30th, 21:00 p.m.
At San Salvador Parish Church, the Sussex Festival Choir and the Orchestra Sinfonia da chiesa, under the direction of Stephen Hope, performs: the Symphony n° 5 by W. Boyce, the Mass in G by F. Schubert an the Gloria (RV 589) by A. Vivaldi. The group comes from the Great Britain and the concert have been sponsored by the International Association of the Friends of the Sacred Music.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the brass band Venetianische Bläserwerkstatt, under the direction of Helmut Raaf, performs the Pentecost's Concert “Laudate Dominum in sono tubae”. The program includes music by ancient authors from G. Gabrieli to J. S. Bach, linking the venetian and the german tradition. The brass band comes from Nagold, Germany.
- Monday, May 21th, 20:30 p.m.
At San Salvador Parish Church, the Cwmbach Male Choir is performing a free concert. This foremost Welsh Choir - internationally acclaimed - formed in 1921, has performed to great acclaim in prestigious venues worldwide. It was the first Welsh Choir to sing behind the “Iron Curtain” and the first to sing at Cardiff Arms Park before a Rugby international. They have performed in Canada, USA and South Africa and have toured extensively in Europe, but this is their first visit to Italy.

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Cappella Marciana Choir, under the direction of Marco Gemmani, and the Giovanni Paolo I School Choir "Humilitas", under the direction of Justine Rapaccioli, perform a sacred music concert, dedicated to the Family Day "Più famiglia".

At San Salvador Parish Church, the Cathedral's Cappella Santa Cecilia Choir, brightened the Holy Mass with its songs under the direction of Gianfranco Cosmi. The Choir comes from Lucca.
